Although traditionally a strong Catholic country, Peru, like many other South American nations has been slowly drifting away from Magisterial teachings in the areas of abortion and contraception. At the recent UN Conference on Population and Development NGOVoice reporter Cassie Bloedow spoke with Alfredo Chuquihuara, the delegate from Peru, about his opinions regarding these very important subjects which run contrary to the positions of the Catholic Church.
